Omar, proud of his belonging to the Al-Zuwaideh tribe, was born and raised among the golden sands and towering rock formations of Wadi Rum. From a young age, the desert captured his heart and became his playground.
During his youth, Omar attended school in Wadi Rum village and spent his free time working in tourism, learning from his family and from the stories of his grandparents about Bedouin traditions and desert life.
Over the years, Omar developed a passion for cultural exchange and meeting visitors from around the world. In 2015, his dream came true when he founded Wadi Rum Omar Camp, offering guests an authentic Bedouin desert experience.

We will provide you with a pickup location where you can either leave your car or be dropped off by your taxi driver. From there, we will transport you to our camp.
Lip balm, sunscreen and head protection to shield your skin from the harsh desert sun and wind. A camera or phone to capture memorable moments. A battery pack in case your device stays charged. A small backpack to keep your essentials handy. Basic toiletries for your personal needs. Mosquito repellent, as they can occasionally appear.
Lightweight, T-shirts and pants to protect your skin from the sun while keeping you cool. Wide-brimmed hat or headscarf. Sunglasses with UV protection. Sturdy, comfortable shoes. Light jacket or sweater for evenings. A bandana or scarf for sand protection. Warm clothes for nights in desert areas, especially at dusk.
The best time of the year to visit is during the spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) seasons. During these periods, the weather is mild and more comfortable for outdoor activities and desert exploration.
